engine combo question

just want to know what you guys think this setup i already have half invested in will run...1/4 mile times

350 bored .030
dart iron eagles 64 cc combustion chamber 180 cc intake runner
230 int./236 exh. @ 050 lift duration
.487 int./.490 exh. lift w/ 1.5 rocker arms (running 1.6)
edelbrock air gap intake
holley 750 double pumper
lightweight flexplate
2400 stall
stock suspension for an 88 gta
275 mm wide drag radials

Sounds exactly what i would run for an all-around street car,except the drap radials.

Sure a 750dp is a good idea? A 650 might work better for your combo, especially with an automatic.

with the flow a 750 wouldn't be too big at all. a 650 would be too small, i don't however need the double pumper, i just have it laying around

I have an engine very similar, with a little more cam and pat musi ported torquer heads. I took off my 650dp and strapped on an 850dp. After a few days of tuning, I had acceptable throttle response and maybe 40 more horses top end. Depends on what you want, throttle response, 650, ***** to the wall power, 750 or 850.

seems to me that you could find a cam with the same duration and a little more lift.
for example
comp cams XE282HR
230/236 .510/.520
this is what i would use

i was thinking a little more duration and lift myself, but i called up comp cams, let them know my setup and they recommended that one...
