No 2nd or 4th gear shifts!!
I recently installed a hurst billit plus shifter on my T5 transmission, and it worked fine for 90 miles and today under normal driving conditions, the transmission starts vibrating and 2nd and 4th gear will not engage, just grindes.
Is it the tranny or the shifter?
thanks

what are those things, and how much does it cost to fix, also how could something like this happen, I just had a centerforce clutch installed 90 miles ago, and i have been following the break in procedure... but i just had an alarm installed and I had to leave it with the keys, if they took it out and beat it do you think it could have made this happen?
the transmission vibrates from time to time and if u rev the engine slightly it will go away and come back. and id does this when the petal is pushed to the floor.

Never mind. My mistake. I noticed you signature that mentions a 4-Sp auto, but you were asking about a T-5. My fault.
You might need to pull the top cover and recheck the shifter alignment. If you had transmission work done recently, and they removed the shifter (which would be necessary to remove the trans and clutch), they may have not aligned it correctly when they reloaded the shifter into the trans. I'd ask them about warranty on their repairs, since it seems they may have caused the problem.

The bolts align the mounting flange, but the shift stem engagement into the socket in the plate could be less than ideal. It may also depend on how the springs were aligned and the upper and lower plates were aligned. Sometimes you can just get lucky and drop them in, sometimes not.
