Picture of AC compressor on a 305 block?
My car came with the compressor pulled out so I'm not sure what it should look like as far as mounting brackets and bolt heads, etc. A nice clear picture would be wonderful. Thanks!

In the '88 model year they went to the serpentine belt system and the alternator & AC switched sides.
'86 & '87 had a mix of V-belts for AC, PS & A.I.R., and a flat multi-groove belt for the alternator. Both the AC & alt belts go around the the water pump pulley. Carb & TPI had the same setup.
I'm not sure how much it would help, but there are a bunch of pictures posted on the Carb forum https://www.thirdgen.org/techbb2/sho...hreadid=183568 . Several of them are '86-'87, but probably aren't close up or detailed enough to answer your question. And, my digital camera is on the blink, so I can't go take any to help you out.

Here's one from 83. Yours should be the same, as far as the brackets are concerned.
I have some other pics showing the details of the bracket assembly for the A/C & PS pump.

Check this pic out the engine is out and it will show you what brackets look like and see how they bolt up. the compressor bolts to the top bracket on right (as looking at it) with 4 bolts. Hope this helps.
