Car was running, saw a spark then car shut down
Ok
Just a regular day changed the oil, then saw a gromet that had come off a hole. So i went to push it back on (the car was still running) as i did that i saw a spark from the teal blue circled area. Probably from the bottom left to the right of the arrow, around there. As soon as it sparked the car shut off. I was like holy **** what just happend. So i go ok, turn the car with a quick twist of the key to see if it would turn and it did so i didnt wait for it to start. Well when i was done the car wont start!.. it rotates but I dont think its getting gas. I checked all fuses under the dash.. I dont think the F/p is kicking in now. ANd uhh!! someone please help

Make sure that the wires that passed through that hole in the firewall are not exposed. it the grommet fell off then the wires could have chaffed down past the insulation and shorted out your fuel pump relay.

It looks to be the speedo cable that goes threw that gromet. It came from one of those black box things at the bottom. had nothing to do with the wires going threw that gromet.

I put 12v power to the link diagnostic and the f/p kicked on. So it has to be somewhere from the fuse to the relay.

"There is no fuse for the fuel pump under the dash, it is located in the engine bay near the battery. That is what sends power to the fuel pump relay."
Seen that in another thread. I thought F/P under the dash fuses meant fuel pump. Even in my haynes it had it under the dash.
Tricksters awsome!
