fuel shortage?? what is it im pulling my hair out
I have a carbed 82 camaro with a mechanical fuel pump.
The problem is the car is not getting enough gas, especially when its hot, when its hot the fuel filter is only about 1/4 of the way full
heres what ive done to try and fix it, ive tried 2 fuel pumps, both fairly new and higher quality pumps, ones holley and ones the summit, ive replaced the fuel line from the tank up with 3/8 aluminum line.
the tank in it is stock and so is the sending unit, the line coming off the sending unit was very rusty, yet i havent noticed any fuel leaks,
Any ideas, please help, thanks

Sounds like vapor lock maybe. Keep the fuel line as far away from the exhuast and hot engine components as possible.
