3 RPM max... somethings wrong
Ok I have a very weird problem. I have a 355 Supercharged. It has a pressure problem with oil coming up the top bolts ( https://www.thirdgen.org/techbb2/sho...hreadid=300567 ) if you want more info. I don't know if that has to do with the problem though.
However, here is my problem. When I am cruising, lets say 2 RPM and I push the gas ALL the way down, it makes a real loud sound that doesnt sound quite right (its the supercharger) and it slowly goes up to 3 RPM and maxes out there, it WONT go above 3 rpm... maybe 3100 rpm...
But when I am at a stop light and floor it from an idle, it goes real high around 5 rpm.
Anyone know whats going on? Here is a pic of my engine.

Anyways ill prolly do it tomorrow if I have the time. But every time it reaches 3 rpm the supercharger makes an awful noise, so I think that might be it, but can a supercharger really bring down that much HP if its busted?

Oh,,, I dont know maybe... but wouldnt that still make air flow through it and make the fans spin making it less HP than if it was off?

Ya, I've been long to often into EFI and seeing/hearing guys with paxtons, etc, that bypass them...completely different beast and easy to do so.
Teaches me to yak, then look.
But hey...least I got the poor guys thread started
