attention!please help blown engine?

i was driving on the highway going about 11o i know i shouldnt of been going that fast. it was a long straight away with no other cars on the road at night. i was in overdrive i thought but it was actualy in drive when i downshifted. needless to say it was drive and i downshift to second which took my rmps to about 6500. i had an msd ignition with a retard chip at 5000rmps. well after i did that the car doesnt drive right. i thought it was the transmission. it has no power at stop to about 40 and there is a real bad noise coming from under the car. i drove it for a day or so and noticed that i have zero oil pressure. what did i do to my motor or transmission? also it hesitates before it wants to start.

Is there no pressure or low oil pressure??

Does it knock??

It sounds like you might have killed it.

A "real bad noise" doesn't help us much, what exactly does it sound like? Still no oil pressure? You should change the sender if it reads zero, its probably bad. With no oil pumping, your engine would seize.

the sound is hard to describe. it is a rattling sound coming from underneath my feet. and it sounds like there is no muffler at low rmps. as for the oil pressure it was bobbling in the red. worked fine the day before i did this. i havent been driving it because of this but when you start it up it takes longer to crank like the timing is off. i checked the oil dipstick also and there was no oil on it. is it safe to drive to the shop if i fill it with oil?

Once again, a question we can't answer for you without hearing the noise.

If I were you and I was in the same situation..I would have it towed to a shop near you and let someone that can diagnose the problem check it out. I would not drive it.

Better safe than sorry.

sounds like to me you eighter blow a hole in your exhaust manifold, or you spun a bearing. check your exhaust manifold see if you have a hole. all the pressure from the down shift at a 110 may have blown a hole in one of you manifold/headers or you blew a seem in your muffler or Y pipe. also check for oil on your oil pan, if it is covered in oil you through a rod or spun a bearing.

If the engine was that low of oil when you did that, then it might easily have destroyed a rod bearing just from running dry.

You can take off the oil filter and pour it out into a clear glass jar or something like that, and see if there's any metal particles in it. If there are, it's engine rebuild time. If not, put on a new filter, fill it up with oil first, filll the engine with oil, and see if you get oil pressure; if so, then start looking for the source of the noise. If it still doesn't have oil pressure, then you're back to needing an engine rebuild.

In any case, don't drive it or let it run for more than a few seconds until it has oil pressure, you'll just trash more stuff if it's damaged already. Although it's too far from your monitor for me to be able to see it very well, it doesn't sound good.
