protopline heads and TPI, cam question

i have searched the forums and read alot of good input but not exactly what i want to know.
has anyone ran 200cc protopline heads on a 355 roller block with a modified TPI{ported edelbrock base, and SLP runners, 52mm TB, 24lb/hr injectors, AFPR} and LT4 hotcam.
is this the right cam for this? what springs would i need for this setup? what push rod length would i need with the 1.6 PRO MAGNUIM rockers on this setup? has anyone had any problems with this setup? do i need 1-5/8" or 1-3/4" headers?

I would go with the 180's and a comp xr264hr, the pro 180's flow nearly the same as the 200's.

I would not put a TPI setup on top of heads that big.

Id say to use whatever springs that GM recommends with the Hotcam, but it will probably be something like a 986 Comp. Buy the pushrods last, mock up the valvetrain and use an adjustable pushrod to check what length you need. Either size header will work fine.

Thats a pretty bad mis-match. The HOT cam doesn't really come on until 3500rpm, TPI starts to give out at about 4500rpm. Thats not much of a range. Now you have large runner heads compounding the problem even more. If I were you I would sell the Edelbrock base, SLP runners, plenum, fuel rails, and AFPR. Keep everything else and install a Stealth Ram Part# HLY-7540 and fuel rails with AFPR Part# HLY-534-186.

You will be much happier.

i am going to keep the TPI and i have a carb motor that i can use those heads on if they are that bad a mismatch. the question now is what heads and cam for my TPI? i have a set of world S/R torquers that i could port a little but what is a good roller cam? LPE 211/219 MAYBE? I have run both setups on a dyno2000 silmulator and the original combo was better?
