Goofy Oil Pressure Gauge

My oil pressure gauge started acting weird today, I could be going down the highway at 60mph(or any speed for that matter) the gauge starts to jump around then will stick in a position, then jump around some more and then stop. Any ideas as tot he problem? Oil Pressure sending unit?

It could be the sending unit, or it could be the gauge itself.

Change your oil recently?

This is generally a sign of a failed sending unit. The factory senders were notorious for this type of behavior.

Could this also be why the car takes about 3-4 seconds to fire up?

It's located right above the oil filter on the driver's side of the engine block.

Maybe, if your fuel pump relay is also dead.

Do you hear the fuel pump running for 2 seconds when you first turn the key on, before you start the engine?

It doesn't sound like there's anything wrong with the fuel pump relay then.
