Okay: In short, built a new motor and it is running crappy. I took it to a top notch mechanic. He said two things:
ONE, He said it either looks like a vaccume leak becuase the intake manifold pressure is low (unless the cam is huge, but it's a like a 230/230 500 lift on a 112). I do have a superam. I guess it could be leaking, but I checked it with a can of carb cleaner and it's okay, so could it be an internal gasket leak?
TWO, he said it really seems to him like the cam timing is off. I had to take the front timing cover off once, to put the oil galley plugs in and the cam gear had to come off. I did HAVE TO move the crank maybe just a couple of degrees to get it back on. I knew a couple of degrees really shouldn't matter, unless maybe somehow it jumped a whole gear. I don't think it jumped a whole gear, and also the car seemed to run pretty crappy before the gear was removed. So, i'm not to confident it is that it is definately that. he said it could be the balancer also that is off and spun a little.
I have two choices, pull the intake apart i guess or pull the timing cover again....so which is it? and why?

well, i had to move the crank a couple of degrees, so i could get the gear back on the cam. I had no choice,..but I didn't move the cam,....so would that be enough to make it run so bad? What would the procedure be to line up the dots? mI was thinking the cam probably won't move easily with the spring tension, so so do i just move the crank,..or both the crank and cam? and where should the dots be exactly. How would I go about this?
Oh and BTW: it ran pretty crappy before i pulled the cam gear apart. So, that's why i'm not totally sure.
thanks -J

set the dots: crank straight up cam straight down then after it's all installed turn it to both dots straight up and it'll fire on 1. you need to makje sure you have only 1 crank gear key way or if more than one you used the right key and mark to time it.

okay, so turn the crank any direction so the dot is straight up and then turn the cam so it is down. Install the chain and gear, then trunt he motor over till the cam gear dot is straight up? then it's good to put back together????
I think i have only one crank gear keyway, but if i have more than one what do i do???
thanks -J
