the computer from the 305 won't work unless you put a chip in it for a 350 or a custom burnt which is what i believe you'll be needing to run this engine properly. the intake will work but you'll need bigger injectors since the 305 uses smaller injectors than the 350. other than that though most everything else should work fine. good luck.

When I laid the stock TPI intake between my new fast burn alum heads , there was a gap of no less than a 1/4", I would clasify tha t as a huge leak.

I repeat you can only put a Vortec intake on vortec heads. No way around it unless you want to weld 1/2" of aluminum to the top of every port.
You can't do it. Vortec heads are different than centerbolt heads which you are referring to.

The head in the images below ia a GM Fast Burn Aluminum head P/N 12464298. As can be seen it has dual intake bolt patterns, as well as center, and rail valve cover bolt patterns.
I bought a Scroggins-Dickey High-Flow Vortec TPI baseplate (intake) P/N 12498060 to top it off.
GM Technical Note for the Fast Burn head:
Use intake manifold P/N 12496820, 12366573, 12496822, or 10051103 with the Fast Burn cylinder head.
These are all Vortec intakes. Which means that the Fast Burn head, incorporates the Vortec design.
