New Battery, Headlights pop up

I put my new battery in, and now my headlights stay popped up until I kill the car.

Ok, now it doesn't do it ??? Only did it the first time I started the car.

Car: 1986 Firebird

Engine: 2.8 V6

Transmission: 700R4

I forget your year of car; is the battery on the driver's side? The relay that controls both headlight actuator relays (total = 3 relays) is near the battery. Maybe you whacked it, or something, while dropping the new battery in, and it was just acting up? Make sure the connector's in all the way, and that none of the wires are torn out.
