Best gaskets for everything......?
What are the best gaskets for the engine?
-header gasket?
-Carb?
-collectors?
Also what do you use to seal fuel lines that are AN fittings?

Oh ok, so no tape or anything in there fittings....great, thax for the heads up, I thought it was like that but was not 100% sure.
As for the gaskets are aluminum dead soft stuff good? It is the most expensive, that is for sure.
What was that flowmanster # for? kinda lost there.

Right, no tape, no nothing on AN fittings.
I've never used them, but lots of people swear by them. I've used the Mr G copper ones, and they're great, IF (very big IF) your headers and your heads actually meet the raised bead on the gasket. The UltraSeals, and the FelPro ones that are similar, will work on almost any heads & headers.
The Blowmaster thing is real simple. You throw the stupid 3-bolt collector adapter things in the trash; and you weld that thing into the collector, and onto the exhaust pipe; and you end up with a seal without gaskets that's as good as most factory ones. A vast improvement over the 3-bolt crap that leaks and blows out every time.

I LOVE the Mr. Gasket header gaskets that Autozone carries in-store. Pretty sure they are the UltraSeal ones. Haven't had a single leak issue with them, even re-using them! They aren't designed for that, but I used the same heads/headers, just removed to replace engine. I'd have replaced them if I had to, but I didn't feel the need. I've seen the aluminum ones blow out real bad and I wouldn't use them personally.
Don't have a carb, but for my intake and throttle body, I'm using Felpro stuff and haven't had an issue with any Felpro intake gaskets.
For my collectors, I'm using whatever I got with my SLP headers. I'd like to find something a little bit softer maybe because these have gotten a little deformed and leak slightly, but they aren't bad.
And, as stated, do NOT use any kind of tape/sealant on AN fittings. They are self-sealing when tightened properly.

Is there any special way to "seal them properly"? A turn past hand tight or something?
sofakingdom....I am not too sure I want to weld anything to my 2210s. Then have to cut the welds later when I need to work on somehting under there.....Not sure if I was following what you ment.....

They are 2 pieces.
One piece welds into the header like the stupid 3-bolt thing would; the other piece welds onto the pipe like the other half of the stupid 3-bolt thing would. They go together with 2 bolts & nuts, just about like most exh pipes these days hook up to factory manifolds; one side has a "ball", the other side is flared, and has a ring that clamps it to the "ball". When you want to work on them, you just unbolt them. Just like the stupid 3-bolt crap in that regard.
No stupid weenie sheet-metal garbage 3-bolt "flanges" to warp and overtighten and leak; no gaskets to blow out; tastes great, less filling. If you've ever fought and cursed and hated those stupid 3-bolt things, you won't believe how much better these things are. They, along with gaskets that actually seal at the heads, make headers almost tolerable.
Oh.... did I mention how STUPID of a design I think those 3-bolt flanges are??

Don't bother with the high dollar copper or aluminum gaskets at the head flange, use the cheapies that came with the headers, and invest in some good locking fasteners.
As far as a carb gasket,I use Mr. Gasket, but whatever is on the shelf at your local parts store should be fine. The only ones I avoid are the paper thin or cardboard looking ones.
Ditto on sealant for AN fittings. As far as how tight to tighten them, you can just kinda feel when they are tight enough.I know that's kind of a silly answer, but you'll see what I mean.
Have you got your engine? If so,good luck, hope it runs killer!

i will have it later this week. I have pics of it getting made. Looks very good. I will not get to fire it for a bit though as I need to build the exhaust.

The collector flanges that are being mentioned are the exact same kine that SLP uses on their headers. And I agree, head and shoulders above the 3 bolt's as far as sealing goes.

I am using locking bolts on all exhaust joints. I hear that this will make quite a nice seal combined with copper gaskets.
