proper name?

there is no where to put this on my new carb. it came out of the back of my quad. its the power brake hose or something right?

That is a vacuum hose to the power brake booster. It is a must keep.

look for a port on the intake, or a plug you can remove and put a barb fitting in

Brakes are a good thing. Definately keep the vacuum to the booster.

You have to fit it to a port on the intake manifold, or either Tee off of the pvc port on the carb.

what carb? The edelbrock 1400 series has a port in the back of the carb you need a 90* barb i thinkn it's a 1/4" thread with a 3/8" barb. Call your carb mfgr or the place you bought it or take it to a mechanic and ask. If for some reason your carb doesnt have one, your aftermarket manifold (hopefully you got on eof those too) will have a spot right behind the carb.

Edit: Or, summit has electric pumps to use for your power brakes if you are running a big cam, it would work for your reason too.

there was another hose that came out of that spot on my stock manifold. it was very small. i know where you are talking about though.
