Go to www.firehawk.net and look through the history and stuff on the hawks. It'll let you in on everything. If you want to know specifically about the hawks of today, go to www.slpeng.com and look at the standard and optional content.

Or you could check out the history board. The firehawks in 92, I think around 25 of them ran a little slower than the TTA.

They were faster than stock TTA's. But a TTA with minimal mods (just bumped boost) will outrun one.

The 91-92 cars were rated at 350hp 390tq and ran the 1/4 mile at 13.1

If you don't believe me read the brochure for the car. The TTA was rated to run the 1/4 mile at 13.2 or 13.3 i dont remember which.

-SLP 1 3/4 Headers
-Ported Plenum, Polished w/ polished runners
-Airfoil and other small bolt on mods

Also it is not a "souped up TA" as far as the thirdgens are concerned, and most of the fourthgens. They are Formula cars, thats why they have very few of the extra comforts of TA's and they don't have ground effects and other body add ons.

Basically they come with upgraded everything, high output motor, lightweight hood, upgraded suspension, better brakes, cool seats with harness, roll cage, the list goes on. Very, very nice cars to say the least.

i was thinking about the 4th gens, which can be trans ams or formulas "souped up", since they only made 25 1992's

I thought the Firehawks ran 13.7 . There is something about them on the history board.

Here is the article. I was wrong, they run a 13.2

Then I dont know which is faster. In "Next Generation Parts" They call the 91/92 firehawk the "king of speed" for the thirdgens over the TTA, so I dunno.

anyways here is the article.

It shows all the cool stuff they got.

LOL!!! In case somebody reads this and is really stupid, that's NOT a firehawk. Copying the shortcut and pasting it shows the true picture though.

TTA's are rated by GM as turning a 13.5 in off-the-showfloor stock trim.

And that picture thing you posted needs to be fixed......... now! Plus it didn't work for me......

AAAHHH, Riceburner!

I didn't know GM secretly hired the japanese to design the Firehawks. The picture displays the reality, because its a glitch in The Matrix! They're taking over, all this time the Firehawk was really a pink Honda Civic! Noooooooo!
Where are you, when we need you NEO?...

Looks like everybody forgot the fact that a Firehawk is modded by SLP, (Street Legal Performance). Boosting hp by intake and exhaust, and suspension, and Firehawk badging on the front head light, sides, and the rear. As for fourth gens, the Firehawk was copied to make the upgraded version of the SS Camaro. Also, the Firehawk is a Formula, and only a Formula. The reasons for this is less luxury, less weight, more acceleration.

"Also it is not a "souped up TA" as far as the thirdgens are concerned, and most of the fourthgens. "

I did not say that the fourthgen TA's were all formulas. I am pretty sure the majority of them were, as I rarely see TA firehawks except for the 98+ models, there are quite a few of those.

Also in 91-92 there was one and only one TA firehawk, it was the custom by SLP so the guy could have a vert. ou can find it on the formula source I think. Its a sweet car.

OK, fourthgen firehawks:

93-97 were available only on the formula.
98 was not available at all
99-02 were available on the Formula OR the T/A.

Clear as mud?
