Please identify where this goes?

I am converting my carb to TPI and the TPI engine has this fuel pump shut off switch that screws into the engine somewhere. The oil pressure gauge is the smaller pipe on the right and screws in just behind the distributor. The one on the left is the fuel pump / oil pressure sensor - can someone please tell me where exactly it goes and a pic if you got it. thanks
Tony

The one on my '88 screws in just above the oil filter. My switch looks different and doesn't have an elbow fitting. The electrical connection looks the same. If you still need a pic let me know. I have the engine out of it. Yours is probably from a different year model, like pre-87. What are you planning to do about the return fuel flow to the tank and the 45 psi fuel pressure needed for the TPI?

AKAIK all the oil pressure ports on your block are 1/8" (as the one on the right is).

Top of the block just to the right side of the dist. Right behind the intake manifold. I'd recognise that piece anywhere since mine has the same thing.

I looked again and mine is the same unit as yours. It's 1/4"NPT.
Here's a closeup:
Yours probably has an elbow to dodge the clutch linkage that pivots in the hole just above the sender.

88' IROC 700r4 is the same; 1/4"NPT, oil sender is 1/8"NPT.
On my 88' the switch is a backup to the fuel pump power relay.

Mine is an 86. The smaller pipe one in the picture on the right side does screw into the block just right of the distributor and connects to the oil pressure sending unit. The one on the left side with the larger pipe and fuel pump pump / oil pressure thingy is the one I am confused where it goes. I will look down by the oil filter. VADER can you clarify this for me please since you have an 86 also - thanks everyone.

Are you saying that you don't have a 1/4" NPT port down low?

The port shown on the picture posted by Supervisor42 is the only 1/4" NPT for the pressure switch, unless you combine it with the sending unit up top, but that's a tight fit.

IIRC 90', and up models were upgraded to a combo unit, but it's also down low as in the picture.

I had a 2 peice setup that was mounted behind the dist.
1 short pipe and then another fitting with 2 holes, one for the oil press switch and one for the oil pressure sender for the gauge.
I'll look to see if I have a pic stored somewhere.

Can you make out this location?

Right behind the distributor.

Vader are they both connected to the same smaller sized brass pipe? Thats what it looks like to me. The head of your smaller sized pipe has 2 outlets on it where as mine only has one right now. Second off, it even looks like the pressure switch you have is different than the one in my pic, maybe I have the wrong switch. I do think my harness is off a 87 or 88 though and not an 86. My dist connector is the newer style connector as opposed the the 4 ported round barrel looking plug. It is the type that connects to the base of dist like on the external mounted coil style. No biggie I just changed out the plug and I am fine. I am going to check the junk yard on Friday and see if maybe the multiport 2.8 has the same style connector like have with 2 connections on the brass T fitting. Thanks

I couldn't find a pic on the computer but I am pretty sure that I still have the fittings in the garage.
The oil press switch I had had spade connector(s) on it and the smaller brass fitting has 2 holes in it, should be the same as the one Vader posted the pic of.

I'll part with the one I have if I can find it and you can't locate one.

I got the problem solved. I located the fuel pressure switch where Supervisor showed me his was. Mine had a bolt in the hole so I just removed it and screwed in the switch. To easy. As for the Gauge sender unit I went to a good local auto parts store that builds race cars and they had a shorter tube and 90 degree elbow for me. Once I screwed it in it cleared the driveres side runner tube bolts piece by like 2 millimeters. Thanks for the help guys.
