By the way, this is my first time posting on these boards so hello to all of you. now then, as mentioned above my camaro doesn't want to start up after i turn it off a first time. well, i dont know if it over heats or what. i took it too a machanic and they told me that it's the car's computer that needs to be reprogramed and said that it can only be reprogramed at the cheverlet dealer. any one else have a problem like this? and if so........how much did it cost to fix?

 

More description of the exact problem- exactly what you mean by "doesn't start" and under what conditions. Does it crank but not fire up? Does it not even crank at all?

ECM reprogramming is definitely BS. You may have a problem but reprogramming of the ECM is so far from being the correct solution it's laughable. That's definitely NOT the problem.

Maybe your starter is getting heat soaked. Does it crank when it does not start the second time?

 

That'd be my first guess. Install headers recently?

 

it cranks but it doesn't want to start up the second time around. ya got to wait a while. i haven't mod it or put new things in it in either. the machanic put it under dignostics to see what was the problem and the computer responed with what i posted earler. i just cant remember too clearly what the guy said.
