Oh, BTW - I see you're kinda new, so I'll let you know before someone else tears you apart, lol...

The mods on this board get a little irritable when you make two separate threads on different boards about the same thing. Just a heads up.

Not to my knowledge, no.

Ahhh, but it was just an implication, not directly spoken .

To answer the dudes question: I have powder coated my last 2 intakes. I presently run a MiniRam and heat build up is not a problem. I don't think I would install another intake without powder coating. It always looks good and is easy to clean.

You can purchase some of Edelbrock's intakes powder-coated from the factory. Not sure about the Air Gap. I have had one like that (a Performer), it was clear-coated.

Gasoline affects it. Cleaning solvents (lacquer thinner) remove it. Be aware of that when choosing colors, and in how you care for it.

Go for it dude....I am a Powder Coat Tech and the heat isnt gonna be a prob because powder paint has to be heated to 385 degrees to cure.

Half my engine is powder coated because I do it my self at work.

How would anodizing hold up? Seems like a viable option, off the top of my head.

Anodizing should handle the heat pretty good I would imagine.

I've had nitromethane engines in RC cars that get VERY hot, quite a bit hotter than water cooled car engines, and the anodized heat sinks on the heads seemed to hold up just fine.
