pushrod length????

I am going to get a set of K.D. trick flow heads for my G.W. 350 with some Comp magnum roller rockers and a crane 228/228 .480/.480 cam. It says i need special length pushrods with these heads.

Is this the best head coice for $1200?

How will that cam idle?

What is cnc porting?

grab a rod length checker, then you will know 100% which ones are right.

I would spend a few extra dollars and get some AFR heads, but i hear their is a bit of a wait to get them.

You can't "guess" at the pushrod length. There are too many things that can change the length required. Cam base circle, deck height, valve location in head, valve length can all change the required length.

The only proper way to know what length pushrod your engine requires is with a pushrod length checker. Very rarely will it be shorter than stock. Buy a length checker that the bottom measurment starts at the factory stock length.
