Make sure it's wired correctly. Make sure the battery has juice.

yea i just bought an interstate battery just pulled the shrink wrap off of it and i bolted the battery and ignition wire to the large prong on the starter and nothing at all no lights or anything i dont know where it could go wrong the wire goes frm the battery to the starter and gets bolted on top of the ignition wire right? i also bolted the purple wire to the smaller prong

the purple wire with the smaller terminal IS the ignition wire. all that other stuff is basically power distribution. there are fusible links right near where all those wires hook up to the the starter along with the battery cable. you may have a problem there.

Just wondering if you hooked up the ground wire, i have seen people go crazy with no power and it turned out they didnt hook the damn ground wire to the motor!

Theirs the ground wire from the battery to the alt bracket on the motor. and theirs also a ground strap, usually on the rear of the passenger side head going to the firewall. it can cause some weird problems if not hooked up.

I have seen people hook the ground wire to the post on the battery and the other end was connected to nothing, they didnt know wtf was going on lol
