sometimes my car smokes black.

ok it seems like when I start it or when I hear the loud sucking noise. Which I guess could be open loop or the IAC is open or whatever I get big puffs of black smoke, which I know its fuel. Whats the cause of this. 350 TPI bran new TPS ( my TPS may be off because I dont have a digital volt thing), IAC , MAF and relays

"ok it seems like when I start it or when I hear the loud sucking noise",
thats the iac opening.
when the iac opens it needs more air, when it opens wide open and makes a lot of noise just idleing that usally means that it is set too low and it tryies to save itself and opens the iac and when it does all that crap the gas managment is not too accurate how i know i has happened too me and i had the iac set way too low.

'89's don't have the self adjusting TPS? I know the self-adjusting TPS's started in 90 for the V6's...

Definately get a voltmeter and check the TPS out.
