head help

ok as some of you know i have a set of 14102193 heads. at this point i dont have time to port them. should i just bolt them on and run them til next winter? or would i be better off with my 882's til next winter?

well, if you bolt up the 882s, you won't have to unbolt anything to drop the heads off (or get to work, if you're doing them yourself) and there will be zero downtime when they're ready to bolt back on, too.

i say bolt 'em up (882), worry about the 193s when the time comes.

The 882s are 76cc heads unless they've been milled. The 193 swirlport heads are 64cc. If your motor had the 193s on it originally, 882 heads will seriously decrease the compression ratio. Not too cool...

yeah. this is true but on the CR calculator id still have like a 10:1 CR with the 882s. but this is gonna be raced so im def. keepin the 193s

Unless you have some built engine, in which case, neither head would have a place atop it, you are doing something wrong with the calculator. 10:1 with 882s is close to 11 or so to 1 with the 193s.

thats what it told me. i dont know my uncle did it for me. i forgot what size domes my pistons are so i cant do it right now either

ok im port matching the intake and exhaust ports because it will help the heads a bit. how much does this really help?
