New motor almost ready!!!!
Well looks like I will have my motor finished in about a week.
Im having the heads worked and put together, then its a matter of putting them on.
Here is my new combo.
L98 bottom end.
Comp xr282hr-12
10.3 to 1 compression
AFR 190's ported with 27* valve angle
Cloyes double row timing chain.
Crane Gold 1.5 rr's
Edelbrock RPM airgap
MSD Pro Billit dist
MSD 6a
MSD 8.5 mm wires
Hedman 1 5/8 LT headers
2 1/2 in dual exhaust with dynomax bullits
Trans:
TH350 with Transgo rebuild kit
10" jegs 2700-3000 converter
Rear:
stock with Richmond 3.73's
26" tall M/T tires.
Carb:
I have a Speed Demon 750 vs and a modified Holley 3310 750vs (Maybe swap out at T&T and see which works best)
I have the weight down on the car. I still need to check to know for sure.
What do you guys think. Should have some go TQ/HP.

I still have to build my TH350 also. Our local track opens march 11th, but it will probably be april before I get the camaro out.
I could get the motor/trans in over a weekend, but then there will be bugs to work out.

The biggest thing that I need is the rest of my exhaust components and nickel dime stuff. I just need to get off of my *** and get the engine dropped in. I have pretty much sorted out what wires I knew weren't need. I still have a bowl of spaghetti in the engine bay.
I guess weather has been kinda a factor too. As you know around here the weather can't make up it's mind.

Luckly im indoors.
I just fire up the heater and im good to go.
On the wires, I started cutting one at a time untill I got rid of the unneeded wiring. It takes time, but is worth it.
I think I will install new motor mounts while the motor is out. Might even do some painting on the crossmember.

Yeah I need to rustolium my engine bay. My car is a rust bucket. I plan to eventually get another body. That may be a factor in my lack of motivation as well.

Luckly mines not bad rusty. Just needs some cleaning up and a fresh coat of paint. Maybe go with a dark grey on the suspension.
