Spark plug indexing
indexing washers, two kits available from Moroso
Part No. 71900
Moroso Spark Plug Indexing Washers: Tapered Seat, .010", .021", .032"
Part No. 71910
Moroso Spark Plug Indexing Washers: Flat Seat; .043", .050", .064"
Which one ? It's for a LO3, stock swirl port heads.
When I tighten them, will I still be tighteningf them to torque specs, or will the washers affect that, so I'll only be able to go hand tight plus a tiny tiny bit more ?

because EVERY little bit helps with these engines.I would like to know more about this as well.from what i have read you can gain as much as 5hp with the plugs properly indexed along with improved throttle response and mileage.

Indexing alone may not be worth 5 hp, however grinding down the electrode slightly, double checking the gapping and indexing all together may do something.
Should the opening be towards the exhaust valve, intake valve or simply in between ?

Use a sharpie to make an index line. The idea behind indexing isn't so much to avoid blowing the plug out as it is to avoid shrouding the spark, exposing the mixture to the fullest possible spark.
I agree with LJ, though.
