I know that I need to get stainless valves and better rods and make sure it is a steel crank.

what kind of pistons and rings. can I keep the cast heads or do I need aluminum.

I am building a new block for my bird and I thought about supercharger I thought about turbo but these can not be turned on and off when I dont want the extra power.

forged pistons, any moly faced rings should do, open the gap up larger then plain NA specs, use nitrous specs on it.

iron or AL heads don't really matter that much. Lower CR for the cast obviously. I'd skip the nitrous cam personally.

doing this much to your engine to run nitrous (or a blower for that matter) should let you be able to use upwards of a 300HP shot. much less then that, ie 100HP and you shouldn't need this stuff.

PS. Power adders forum might be a good place to check, I think they have a sticky on nitrous too.

which heads? what cc are they now?
what is the deck height?

shoot for 9-9.5:1, a big shot doesn't like giant compression. Use a seperate fuel system for that, and an MSD box or something to retard your timing.

 

so basically I want to use the stock size pistons and a 64cc head.

 

flat top forged pistons and 64cc heads should give about 10:1 compression. less if you have pistons deep in the hole (block not decked).

you could smooth out the chambers on those 64cc heads, polish them, might bring you up to 66-68ccs, that'd be nice with a decked block IMHO. Perfect quench, perfect CR, and polished chambers. Nitrous would like that
