which cam?
hello every one. i have an 88 formula with a 91 LO3 in it. previous owner ditched the tbi for a performer and 600 vacuum sec holley. this car is just a low buget project for me. i have aquired to factory cams and 89 L98 and a 93 Lt1. my engine currently has the stock "peanut" cam in it. I running 1.6 roller rockers. engine has stock heads will either of these cams work with these heads and 1.6 rockers without machine work? i want to use the LT1 but I understand with 1.6 rocker the lift is around 480. the L98 is #049 and i believe has a degree or two more duration(207/213,"413/"430) than the Lt1 but has 117 lobe separation. money is tight and aftermarket cam is not possible at this time.
which cam can i use and with the performer/holley/flowtech headers/"3 pipe/flowmaster dual outlet/1Le a/c delete/ underdrive pulleys/no air pump what kind of power can i expect?

Plan on putting on new springs with either one and 1.6:1 rockers.
More lift and slightly less duration means more torque. I'd go with the LT1 after you verify the valves can handle the lift.
