305 and 350 casting #'s ....(passenger side)

305 and 350 casting #'s ....(passenger side)
i've been searching for a half hr and cant find the thread that has the casting numbers for 305 and 350 engines..... it was around last week sometime..... it had info on the 3 digit #'s on the passenger side of the block..... i have an engine that reads '638' i think.... is this a 305 or 350???? if anyone can tell me or post the link i would appreciate it...

i did another search on the boards and found where to look for casting #s, between engine and tranny bellhousing just shy of the firewall... and its confirmed, a 350!!!

i couldnt see or find the casting #s , thats why i checked that location with the 5.7 stamped on it...

thats nuffin' compared to the whole engine, its pretty grimey, cant wait to pull it next week and take it apart... its an 88' so its pretty dirty....
