Please help identify these hoses
I'm having a bit of a problem identifying some Emmissions control stuff and there are several hoses plugged off or not plugged at all. I have indicated with arrows which parts need identifying. If anybody knows if there looks like somehting is wrong it'd be great if you could tell me what to do.
Hell I'd like to just remove the whole damn emmissions canister...but I dunno if it'd run very well

1st pic:
green is your brake booster hose.
light blue is your vacuum advance hose
2nd pic:
not sure what hose your pointing at?
3rd pic:
yellow hose is your PCV hose
purple looks like your winshield wiper fluid hose, it should be going along the firewall not right down across the motor.

Thanks, the green arrow should be pointing at the sensor.
The purple/pink arrow is definately not the windshield wiper hose since it runs to the EECS canister.
I'm just wondeirng if the PCV hose is hooked up right because it says PCV on the EECS canister but there are no hoses running from the PCV to the EECS anywhere.
The arrow in the second picture is pointing to that diaphragm thingy. It looks like when I trace the hose back it goes to the fuel pump.

Green goes to a manifold vacuum sensor of some sort. The brake booster is the hard line going to the back of the carb.
I don't know either what the #2 pic is. Haven't seen anything like it. What goes to the other end? Any possiblity of getting a picture of it that isn't blocked by other things?
Is this a Canadian car?
I would guess some lines are crossed. I've never seen a vacuum advance line that was that small hard plastic. Check the FAQ forum for some vacuum diagrams.

I'm not talking about the hard plastic. The arrow is pointing to that metal diphragm. The hose coming into the diaphragm traces back to the fuel pump. My guess is that the other end of it goes into the fuel tank. Pretty much the best picture of it I could get. I don't know what it is but it might need replacing.
yea I think it's a Canadian car. The owner before me swapped out the v6 for a v8 so I;m not sure what everything is as he did some weird stuff.
if anybody could tell me how to delete the whole EECS canister that would be awesome. Save alot of headache. Don't really care about emmissions stuff.

The hard plastic to which I was refering was in pic #1. That is usually the heater servo supply, and goes to the rear base of the carb towards the passenger side. I would guess right now you have no vacuum advance and no heater routing - unless the other end of those lines has also been re-routed.
I still have no clue what that diaphragm is in #2 - I knew you were talking about the metal cased diaphragm, I've just never seen one nor seen any discussion about it on TGO. I would guess it is a V6-specific item, but again, I don't know.
Eliminating the vapor canister would also eliminate the tank vent. Easier to leave it in there, in my opinion.

And eliminating the tank vent would be bad why exactly?? And could i not just rig something up to vent the tank only??
Also say I were to remove it how would i go about doing it lol?

I'll try to get a better picture of where the hard plastic hose goes.
