What problems are you/have you had with your thirdgen?

Just curious as to how many things mechanical, you've fixed, needs fixing. What common things(besides wearable parts like spark plugs and filters) are giving us the most problems? I've had my car a little over a month, and so far

Fixed
1.replaced passenger window motor(stuck down)
needs fixing
2.cracked trans mount
3.ac needed charging
Needs fixing
1.drivers window motor is on it's way out
2.smoke at startup-valve stem seals

other than that, mechanically's been great.I'm sure alot of you have had the same problems, along with headlight motors on Firebirds, and bad MAS's on TPI's. What does your list look like?

So far everything I've had to replace is the kind of stuff that wears out over 14 years. I still need:

1) door hinges
2) suspension (way too many squeaks and clunks)
3) head gasket
4) rear main seal

That's about it. She's still runnin strong though.

Car: Yes
Engine: Usually
Transmission: Sometimes
Axle/Gears: Behind me somewhere
I think I've replaced every part of mine that moves, at least once; and some things that don't move besides. And some of those, more than once.

No I take that back.... I believe the gas pedal might still be the original.

Car: 88 Iroc-z
Engine: 350 TPI 5.7
Transmission: Auto
Axle/Gears: Think its 2.77, posi
Car : 88 Iroc-z

Fixed :

1) Intake leak...gasket obliterated
2) Trans mount ... was nonexistent
3) Rear sway bar link ends ... equally nonexistent
4) Speedometer Cable ... cracked and worn but boy was I glad when I found out this was the problem...quick 20 bucks and half an hour well spent
5) Headlight switch ... connector melted
6) Gauge cluster ... the thin plastic sheet on the back was damaged and all the gauges had been spliced into to make room for what I'm assuming was just seperate gauges
7) alternator clip ... the plastic retainer that houses the three wires snapped...pretty common
8) Drag link and idler arm ... worn out
9) Hood shocks... dampners (sp?) worn

Need to Fix :

1) Timing chain stretched out
2) Need to find a way to get the idle down
3) Gearbox as there is too much play in the steering wheel...that stuff needs to be tight!
4) Gas and brake pedal ... when I got the vehicle it had those bizarre lights that flash and dance when you turn on the ignition.
5) AC needs to be either converted, removed or charged

I got this car about three months ago and I've run into problem after problem... but its all been fun and when I finally got the car up and running close to right it was all worth it. Turned out to be a timing issue...

Lots.

Plastic radiator tanks crack. Several times.
Electric antenna takes a crap.
Alternator takes a crap. Like 3 times now.
Recharge aircon twice. R12 is expensive.
Clutch
Brakes
Water pump
Fuel pump
Temp sensors died (fans would not turn on)
MAF burnoff relay dies. Like 5 times now.
Distributor bearings failed. Shaft started to wobble.
Ignition module failed.
Computer failed twice
EGR valve
Speedo cable
Posi is no longer posi
Needs a new headliner
Needs steering column tilt bolts tightened
Tie rod ends

Had severe bearing knock starting at about 25k miles on the clock - new short block courtesy of GM. Replacement has been solid.

Is that enough?
