Ever hear of Torque Plus intake gaskets?

Has anyone ever seen or heard of Torque plus intake manifold gaskets?
They have mesh screens in the ports and claim to help atomize fuel and increase torque and fuel economy.
I found a set at a garage sale and picked em up.
The package says tests from super chevy magazine, and Hot rod prove thier claims.
Any way its a neat idea I have just never seen them.
Does anyone know if they work? I did a web search and found nothing.
I think this is an old school part 'cause the package was old as heck.
I just wonder how much the screen impeedes flow?
You know like when you take the screen out of your window to get more of a breeze on a hot day.

That's likely just a prehistoric version of the Turbonator. If you put BOTH on your engine, along with the magnets around the fuel line, your engine would probably MAKE gasoline instead of using it. Yup - The oil oil companies made those illegal back in the day. If they find out you have some, they'll send around a few guys in black cars, suits, and sunglasses, and we'll never hear from you again.

I think I read something about the screens eventually fall apart and get sucked right into your engine to do some fun things.

You have a sick, twisted idea of what "fun" is. I like that...

Yeah I was wondering about those screens coming out.
After doing a lot of research on these for the fun of it I found a lot of folks with 267 "performance" Monza motors were using them. But thats all I found. Anyway I figured if they worked everybody would be selling and using them, but the sure do look neat.

I've had a pair on my 403 in my Cadillac for 8 years. As to the screens, they might be gone from what I hear. But, more than likely they are still there. I don't know how much they helped or even if they hurt because I put the 403 in place of a blown 307.

Re: Ever hear of Torque Plus intake gaskets?

I put these torque plus intake gaskets from jegs on a 305 along with a set of headers and I noticed a considerable improvement in power. It was in a half ton pickup with 35" tires and yea I would recommend them to anyone. Didn't notice a fuel milage improvement, prolly because I was 17 and had my foot through the floor all the time anyways... That and gas was 93 cents a gallon... Unfortunately I don't think jegs sells them anymore
