OK I HAVE a 83 2.8 3spd with 2bl electronic carb. i dont know what to do my car uses tons o gas it seems every now and then u get a good strong gas smell. also at start up there is white smoke and not to mention the deisiling off!!! i lowerd the idle on the car because it seemed high and it helped but the idle is so low it alsmost stalls so not a good fix on that the card is fresh so i dont know what is wrong PLEASE HELP THANKSYOU!!!!!

 

My guess is that it's time you learned something about the E2SE carburetor, and how to adjust one. There could be many problems, from float level, inlet need valve, idle air bleed adjutment, throttle position sensor adjustment, leaking bowl/well plugs, and others I'm probably forgetting.

 

ok where do i start i am willing and eager to learn also i forgot to mention what seems like a fluxuation in idle while in drive... dont really noice it in n or p but iot may be because the idle is so low i dont notice it thanks for all the help in advance

 

hey in some looking around i found some of your post do u think my tps needs adjusting?? the carb was just rebuilt and made the car do near perfect this is now a new problem with the smoke bad mpg and fuel smell. thanks again ... which wires do i check for tps and what voltage should they be??? and my 02 should i check that??
