That sounds bad. With the video you can't tell where the noise is coming from, but there's definitely more noise than there should be . Have you checked all of the accessories?

As far as what to do, half of me is a numbers matching, everything correct type person. The other half is a "let's see how much power I can get" person. If that's the original engine, then I would look at a rebuild. You might tear it apart and find that it's just something that you would replace in a proper rebuild anyway. Not only would rebuilding the motor increase value down the road (most likely), it's also cheaper in most cases. The exception would be to find a decent long block. I've seen good running 305's for around $100.

pretty mnuch all i know is that it was running fine till it stalled out on me and smoke started flyin from the engine, n after that it makes taht noise, overheats n wont go past 2nd gear

knowing me, im most likely gonna go with a rebuild, but if i cud find a 5.7L angine ne time soon i might go with a swap as long as it comes with an auto tranny

Sounds like you have a flock of birds down there....I can't tell much by the sound. Hows your oil look, any metal shavings?

Sounds like time for a 350 upgrade.
