L98 WONT START, DID SEARCH

I tryed doing a search but I need help pertaining to my specific circumstances. Well the car sat all week in 100 plus heat so I went to start it and it was just making that clicking noise with the key turned. I had my dad jump me and it fired right up. I let the battery charge about 10 minitues and shut her down. I tryed to fire it back up and it almost started but it just started making the clicking sound again. So I went and bought a battery jumper and jumped it, and it was just clicking. All my lights, stereo, and alarm are working. What do I need to look at???

sound like you just need a new battery, thats all. Batteries hate the heat... however it would take more than 10 minutes idling to charge a battery enough to crank on its own... driving would prove to be more efficient since more rpms will increase the current charging the battery... take your battery to autozone for a free test.

75DL is probably what their computer says. Get the red top or gold... gold top comes with free road side assistance... and 3 yr warranty.

So my dad gave me a jump with his new Saab when he got home and she fired right up! (FRICKIN POS JUMPER PACK!) So I went for a good 20 minute cruise while drivin around in D, to keep the rpms up. Then I parked my car when I got home, and tried to restart it and it barely started back up. So I really dont think my battery is holding a charge. But the motor was really hot. So I will find out for sure tommorrow if I need a new battery or not.

It is the battery dude. If it were the alternator you wouldn't have driven for 20 minutes...

Check your battery cables for tightness as well. I'm not ruling out the fact that your battery may be shot, but a loose cable CAN cause starting issues as well. I've had it happen a couple times.
