Ive got 175psi in 2 of 8 Cyl's. Its dark out, and hard to yank all the plugs..

Is this Good, Bad, okay? and what octane gas am i good for?

Ive ran a 9.50secs in the 1/8th@71mph..

175psi is good, and if they're all about the same, then you're ok.
Sounds like you've only checked 2/8, gotta check 'em all if you are trying to find the one dead cylinder.

All of mine read between 190-200. Definately check them all. The most important thing is that they are all within 10% of each other as long as they are all reasonable.

PSI doesn't equate directly to a ratio so it has no bearing on what octane to run. you'd want the lowest octane you can get without pinging. as for doing the test with plugs in the engine, that isn't the way to go. pull the plug, block open the throttle plate then do the test. the actuall number doesn't mean much, waht you're looking for is deviation between holes. if you're within 10% or so all is good.

All cylinders are around 175psi. Is it worth it to boost the Cyl. presure on a TBI engine? And how could i boost the cyl. pressure? I have Done the Ultimate TBI Mods.. Except for the PROM tuning...

no no, you don't boost cylinder pressure. You're measuring how worn your rings are, and if a valve is screwed, etc.
You have no problems, and 175psi is pretty good, there is no problem there, leave it be.

If you want more HP, that's a different story.

that's your compression ratio. Cylinder volume when piston is at the bottom, divided by cylinder volume at the top = 9/1
Because your cam has a certain amount of overlap, it'll only develop x amount of cylinder pressure, that's your 175 psi.
