Why not keep the dizzy you have and get a MSD-6AL system from summit? You get an upgraded coil, ignition box, with rev limiter and another ignition box. Think it runs $300 damn near the price of a performance dizzy anyways.

why do you want ot change it out so bad ?

theres nothing wrong with stock, they put out more than enough voltage unless ou have some high dollar racing engine or something else crazy

i dont see the big deal about having anything more than a stock HEI, they work just fine

just my $.02

good luck either way

well i want to get a hotter spark cuz with the cam switch i did the car don't always like to start so i figuared maybe change it to get a better and hotter spark. and also the timing is like 23deg. advanced. so if i could get the fuel to fully burn maybe it willl start on one crank instead of 5 15 to 30 sec cranks

sounds to me like there is a problem other than the ignition..., you may have a problem starting a car with a really radical cam but i dont know what you did...

Thats acually a very mild camshaft. Nothing serious so there should be no problems starting because of the cam, unless of course you did something upon installation (seen that a time or two). I would check timing and fuel as well before changing your whole ignition system. just my

You can get a stock dizzy with a lifetime warranty from autozone for $95.
I bet it is your ignition control module in your dizzy. Take it out, and autozone will check them for free.

I am somewhat new to the car hobby, and back when I was in the initial stage of getting the new engine/MSD system put in, I had no idea what part was what for my car. I found a local store (ELD Performance) that sold MSD stuff and I just asked him what I needed and he hooked me up.

Best advice, find a person to ask in town that sells the stuff!
