LG4 Knock sensor location

Sorry, but one more question. Knock sensor on the LG4s, which side are they on, or does it not matter, just want to make sure the wire from the original wire harness will reach it, thanks again!

Do LG4's have knock sensors?

It'll be on the right side of the block if it does.

Right hand side being the drivers side? (i always get the right and left side confused when talking about drivers and passengers)

It's always the car's right side, or your right side while you're sitting in the driver's seat, so that's the passenger side.

Shouldn't really matter which side it was in, though.

Passenger side coolant drain hole. Its right above the oil pan, right near the starter.

Does the LG4 have a knock sensor? I thought it was a carburated car with computer controled distributor? What's the scoop with this?

When the LG-4s compression got raised from 8.5:1 to 9.5:1 in 1985 they started putting knock sensors in them. The L-69 HO motor was always 9.5:1 and always had a knock sensor.

I have a 86 IROC with 305 TPI, I just put in a 350 with a T-5, I'm just trying to put it all back together. the 350 block is an older block it has the 2 piece rear mean seal, where would I put the knock sensor? This is my first time doing this. So far I have only worked on my 89 bird with a 2.8
Any suggestions where it would be?

Thanks
Thomas

In the same place. In the coolant drain hole on the right side of the block just above the oil pan.
