What would be the best way to put on a four peice gasket (2 cork + front/back rubber seals) with rtv?

purchase a one piece gasket from autozone and save all the headaches. or put the 4 piece one together and then RTV the corners

+1 on the one piece. if you're set on using the 4 piece gasket RTV the joints where the sides meet the ends. it'll just take a little spot of RTV to do it.

+eleventybillion on the one-piece. I've got less than 300 miles on my rebuilt engine, and it's got the 4 piece, and leaks BAD, even w/RTV and wirewheel-ing the old gasket off. I've got the one-piece sitting, waiting for this weekend.

what if you're running a moroso deep sump pan? i put the one piece on, and it leaked like hell from the front seal. put on the 4 pieace, still leaks, just not as bad. is my oil pump producing too high a pressure? or could mye timing cover just be a piece of shiz?

Or your balancer seal could be bad.

sounds like you got the wrong front lip for your one piece seal for the timing chain cover that you're using.

Could you reccomend a good one piece gasket online? Needs to be a site with paypal. I'm not really sure what engine I have. It's a 350 but I couldn't tell you what vechicle it's from.

PS. I'm also in need of an intake gasket too. Just noticed the ****er was shot to hell and coolant on the intake. I have an Edelbrock performer intake.

(God I feel like such a noob)

Oh yeah, what would the rtv installation be like one a one piece?
