Removed interior, car won't start?????
I'm in the process of replacing my carpet and have the entire interior removed for the most part....console, carpet, seats, seatbelts, rear door panels, lower dash panels. I need to move it to make more room in the garage. The car turns over fine, but it's like I'm not getting any ignition. I've NEVER had a problem starting my car, even after months of storage. It's a '90 convertible. Any ideas?

just a guess... but maybe it has something to do with your console being out. and your switches think you are stuck in a gear. but i think in my 89 if im in a gear it wont turn over at all. good luck.
ps- u didnt put a screw through a fuel line did you?

Does the fuel pump prime when you put the key-on? You should be able to hear it nice and loud with the interior out.

I'll check to see if the fuel pump kicks in. It turns over like a banshee, it's just like I'm getting no spark, like I've lost a ground or something. I may just wait 'till the interior's 1/2 assembled and see what gives.

I don't see what would give you a no spark by guttign the interior. Did you remove a ground wire that was somewhere by the drivers seat mounting area? There is a ground there. It doesn't look like much, but it is for the fuel pump.

...and the winner is?!?!? Well, I'm not really sure. I saw the ground you spoke of and it leads to the power seat, so I plugged it in and bolted the seat down...no go. I saw another ground attached to the driver's side seatbelt....no go. I saw a loose wire hanging under the dash, 'jiggled it' and she fired right up. I wish I felt more confident on exactly what it was, but it's running and that's what counts!! Woo hoo!!

hmmm....can I at least get half/partial credit to pass??? lol
Actually the one I was thinking of was a wire that comes out of the wiring harness that goes along the left side of the driver's floor and it bolts/grounds right by the front left seat bolt.
Anyway, glad to hear that you got it running. Any idea what that wire was?
