If I remeber right, my 86 Iroc weighs about 3200 pounds. It's got power windows, ttops, all that junk. All depends on what you have.

ARE-present second singular or present plural of BE
OUR-of or relating to us or ourselves or ourself especially as possessors or possessor, agents or agent, or objects or object of an action
Re: how much does are cars weigh?
3300-3400 sounds about right for typical V8 cars. Some can weight more due to options. Putting my brother's 87 fully-optioned GTA on the scale spat out an eye-popping 3700 lbs!! The 6-way adjustable power sets must have weighed almost 80 lbs. each.

Re: how much does are cars weigh?
these cars are actually pretty light for their size especially
hard to find anything lighter and this size,
most car models were heavier by 4-500lbs, some by not that much more even though, but very few, although whats funny is that the 72 and older trucks were under 4k lbs, especially the short bed and the K-5's the longbeds were right on about 3800 with driver like my first 68 (long fleet pickup) was, the shortbed were 3-400 lighter and coil spring rear with trailing arms from factory to boot and lots were 3.73 axle too mainly the 6 cyl, and the manual trans ones though (307 and SM326 for example like my first 68 was)
but simple things can be done to lighten up any vehicle without making any noticeable modifications, including aluminum or glass hoods/fenders, aluminum bumper frames, aluminum wheels, drums, heads, driveshaft, and so on, all these aluminum parts were made and are out there in factory form- for these cars especially
can lose tons of weight really quickly/easily
good luck

Re: how much does are cars weigh?
If you really want to lose weight, do what I did a few years ago and take out the a/c comperessor, canister, exhaust system (With the exception of turn down tubes for the headers), substitute for lightweight aluminum alloy wheels (Centerline made some a few years back that were 10 lbs together and rated for 500 ft/lbs of tq), aluminum rotors and driveshaft, as already stated, no sway bar, lightweight forgings, aluminum heads, one racing seat, no interior, dieting. All of this got me cold as hell in the winter months, hot in the summer, and a blown engine in my former Forebird for accidentally pressing the nitrous button at 1500 rpm on the highway. You should have seen it. It was amazingly stupid for a 20 year old at the time. Lesson learned though (Always have an arming switch).

Re: how much does are cars weigh?
It was that light. At the time, I had the money to blow to get it that light. I didn't put all of what I did to it in the post, but if you go back under my sig, you'll see it. Some of the older guys in mid Ga probably remember seeing the wreck on TV. As I said before, it was amazingly stupid. I could have spent the money on better things, even if I still spent it on the car.

Re: how much do our cars weigh?
my car is pretty light, v6 body, NO options, aluminum heads. the shipping weight with the v6 was around 3000 so i suspect it to be around 3200 with the v8. i really need to get it on some scales(and put back together for that matter).
