When I put headers on my girlfriend's '87 IROC-Z, I forgot to put back on two brackets, one looks to be for the power steering pump, but I can't seem to figure out how it went on in the first place. The other bracket I'm pretty sure goes from the a/c compressor to the block, but I couldn't get it to fit because it has to go over the front primary on that side.

If you guys could get me some pictures of the power steering pump bracket and the a/c compressor bracket, possibly on a car with headers, that would be fantastic. Thanks.

 

the one photo shows the p/s pump bracket without the alt. bracket. I put the alt bracket on later under the same nut. I didn't put the upper a/c bracket back on. I only put the brace down low below where the air pump goes. If you search for the thread "2055 HKR install pics" you'll find a bunch of photos there. If not I'll go out to the car and take new, better ones for ya, Joe

I see it now, although it doesn't show what I'm really looking for. I'm looking for pictures of the front and back sides of the a/c compressor and the power steering pump. I need to know how the brackets go on.

I hope this helps. the p/s bracket is a short piece about 4" long. The pump end is notched so it just slips under the bolt on the pump. The other end fits on the 1st stud on the head. There is also a second bracket that bolts from the alternator to the same stud. On the A/C side I left that bracket off. I did put the lower support in from the bottom where the air pump used to be. That section is so solid there just isn't any vibration

If you have a V-belt setup these may help.
With headers you will need the spacer and the top bracket on the A/C may need trimmed to fit the tube.
