what about this combo?
ok Ill try and make this short. Ive got a 350 block casting 14016379, 305 tpi heads from i believe an '90 that have been rebuilt with new springs and so on and so on. Motor was rebuilt last year with all original parts(not sure if its a 4 bolt yet) and I have a crane cam with these specs: bear with me i know nothing on cams. adv duration 260 int 260 exh, cam lift int .2847 exh .2847, valve lift int .427 exh .427 lobe ctrs. 105 int 115 exh and .050 dur? like i said i hope that helps. I have an edel performer rpm intake, 3 inch catback with headers, new rods, lifters, edel 1406 carb and a 3 way afpr. I wasnt sure if this might be a good combo till i build up my 383. Im replacing my shot 305 so Im hoping this will be a drastic improvement over that piece. thanks for reading

Re: what about this combo?
That'll work I guess. It'll be very mild, watch your compression with that teeny street cam and a 350 with 305 heads. If the 350 was truly done to stock specs it's got 1.54" Compression height pistons, with a 12cc dish, and you're fine - but just make sure.
It will be drastically better than a shot 305
it should run

First find out the specs on the engine, otherwise you're just shooting in the dark. Find out what pistons are in it, if it was decked (how much?), etc. Are you porting the heads? (you should). Then, i'd most likely recommend the xe268, it's working well for me so far.
