No power to injectors

I have no power to my injectors anywhere at all. There isnt one point in the wires that has power. I also tested the two prongs that come out the ecm and go the injectors wires and they had no power. Could that mean the computer is bad? What do you suggest i do? One day they worked and after putting my interior back in they didnt.

Re: No power to injectors

The ECM doesn't supply power to the injectors. The INJ1 and INJ2 fuses ni the interior fuse panel supply the 12V source to the injectors. The ECM only completes the ground side of the circuit to "fire" them. If there is no 12VDC+ supply to the injectors, check the fuses, and the C200 connector (the clear plastic one) near the right end of the dash.

Re: No power to injectors

If your car has Vats (Vehicle Anti Theft System) that could be your problem. The vats module tells the computer to turn on the injectors.

Re: No power to injectors

The fuses are good and there is no power at the clear connector either. The car doesnt have VATS either. I found this connector unplugged and still havent found what it plugs into. The wires into the connector run to the two injector fuses in the fuse block. With this unhooked, can that be my problem?http://s214.photobucket.com/albums/c...t=DSC02786.jpg

Re: No power to injectors

That might be the connector formerly known as "C221" and could certainly be a problem. IIRC, there should be a mate to that connector in the harness going out to the engine compartment. It's been a while since I was into a harness on those.

Alright i cant find it anywhere. Anybody who can post a picture of it hooked up or something that tells/shows where it goes to would be a big help.

Re: No power to injectors

What is involved in the injector feed circuit, just the injector wires that run to the ecm?

The injectors have full time power supplied to them, The PCM through solid state circuitry completes ground allowing the injector to open. You may try jumpering power to the injectors and see if it will run. The only real way to track this down is to get a full diagram and break the circuit down to sections between connectors. If you have power at the fuses but not at the injectors you know where the problem is, between point a and point b

Re: No power to injectors

Can anybody tell or show me where the connector from the link above goes to or plugs into? I looked and there is nothing around it that it would go into.

Re: No power to injectors

The injectors are fed a constant 12VDC source through the ignition switch.

That power is routed through the INJ1 fuse for the left bank of injectors (cylinders 1,3,5, and 7) on circuit 639.

The power is also fed through the INJ2 fuse on circuit 839 for the right bank of injectors (cylinders 2,4,6, and 8).

Both of those circuits are fed from the fuse panel to the harness via connector C221. That is a gray 6-position connector ( 2 X 3) with a brown/white, a pink/black, and a solid pink wire (only three wires in the connector). It should be located near the ECM.

The circuit continues to the right side of the dash and connects to the engine compartment harness via the C113 connector. That is a 4-position connector with a pink/black and a solid red wire.

The injector grounds for the left bank injectors is wired through circuit 467 using light blue wires. Those wires connect to pins D14 and D16 at the ECM.

The injector grounds for the right bank injectors is wired through circuit 468 on light green wires. Those wires connect to terminals C15 and D15 at the ECM.

If the injectors do not have a 12VDC ignition source, forget about looking at the ECM for now. Even if the car had VATS, that would not interrupt the +12VDC supply to the injectors.

Is it the same connector that is in the top picture at the top right?

Re: No power to injectors

Well whatever the problem was it is now fixed. They have power to them again. All i did was make sure that all the connectors were tight and that the wires were all they way in the connectors. One odd thing though is that when i pull the fuse for my gauges, the injectors wont have power.
And as for that connector, it is still unplugged so i guess it isnt important.
