If you put a new TPS in you will have to adjust it. See if you can find a friend with a scanner to hook up to your OBD1 port. Then you can go in and read live data with the ignition key forward and the scanner hooked up. Got down to the TPS section and have him watch the numbers as you adjust the sensor. I cant remember the exact specs but you want it to be around .5 with no throttle and 4.5-5 WOT. (CAR NOT RUNNING) lol
Re: at full throttle cars dies
I Have a 92 RS 305 TBI 5 speed, I recently did a tune up on it. Changed all of the usual tune-ups, plugs, wires, rotor, distributer, cap. The ususal. Have you fixed your problem. Mine is doing the same thing. I go to get on it and the car won't go it's like the fuel and air aren't mixing right. When I slowly accelerate it goes. Still can't floor it though. I'd appreciate if you did fix it, to shed some light for me thanks.

figure out what spec is and closed throttle (idle). should be something like .6-.8 volts. use a digital volt meter and signal wire then other to ground and measure it. move around til ya get it right

I had the same problem on my 91 z28 5.0 I eventually changed my tps(non adjustable kind) and car did the same thing I eventually put in a new FP and filter car ran better but eventually died and I haven got it started since however I got my mechanic friend with scanner hooked it up everything was normal and found I have some dead wires going to the ignition mod.not sure what to do next....I hope the tps fixes your prob just thought I would put in my 2 cents....
