What Plug Wires with Headers?

Went down to the parts house today to get a set of plug wires for my 87 TransAm. It is a 305 with long tube headers, so I need a set with 90 bots on both ends, right? They couldn't help me except a set of Accel with some weird wire crimping block that you have to mash with a hammer?! WTF?!
I just want a good set of 7 or 8mm wires with 90 boots on each end already made up that will fit. I kind of like the BorgWarner magnetic core type. I tried looking them up online, but got more confused? Does anyone know what the part# would be for a set of BorgWarners? If not what else will fit that my parts house would have? We have a O'reilly, Advance, and AutoZone in town.
Thanks

I bought the set of wires that you put together. They turned out really nice and fit perfect being that we put it together. THe 90's are a msut but you know that. Just check out one of the parts stores. I do not remember the price but thats how I went with my headers.

That's what I use.

They're also available in every other color you can imagine, and probably a few you wouldn't; blue, red, yellow, grey, tennis ball green, day-glo pink, etc.

Re: What Plug Wires with Headers?

Use the Borg-Warner CH8333 or 8833 or some combination of 8's and 3's, sorry!

They're for an 87-95 350 TBI Chevy Truck, they're all 8mm instead of 7mm like ours are, and they have all 90 degree boots.

Re: What Plug Wires with Headers?

Thanks. I think that's gonna work for me. I searched for plug wires for a 87 P/U with 305 and it came back with part# CH8833 or CH8833D. Wonder what difference the D makes? Shows that the CH8833 is in stock at my local store. Will check them out again tommorow. It's ashame that people who work at these stores know nothing more than how to look stuff up on a computer. I brought a belt in one time and wanted it 1 inch smaller and it almost blew their mind not being able to look it up!

Re: What Plug Wires with Headers?

To get cheaper wires you could use wires for a 1990 350 corvett they ran under the manafolds. Use the 3 longest ones on the driver's side under the headers. The longest one may be 4-5 inches too long.

Re: What Plug Wires with Headers?

Thank ya'll so much. I would never have gotten the right plug wires if I depended on the store. I went in and asked for CH8833 and they were 8MM and all had 90 boots. Sweet. Got a set of NGK V-Groove plugs to go with them. They are shorter than the A/C Delco's I use by just enough to make a big difference in removing and installing them. Changed out the cap and rotor also.
Took it for one quick spin around the block. WoW! What a difference! I found that 1 plug had gotten loose and 1 wire was just laying on the spark plug, fell right off when I touched it. Now I'm going to wash off the grease and grime and take the bird out for another longer spin.
