Your not going to see much after you let it idle. To get anything useful. You have to try to shut down immediatly after WOT. Otherwise, they just tell you how the motor was running when it was idling.

Which plugs are they? Just looking at the heat range they look WAY too hot. I'd think about stepping down 3 heat ranges or so.

off topic, but how's that 700 holding up to all that power? you go with a raptor or a probuilt or something?

I can't tell anything from those photos other than the porcelain is too white looking like it's running too lean. Read these.

A spark plug can tell you many things if you know what to look for. There's more than just what the insulator looks like. Best rule of thumb for heat range is to run the coldest plug possible that doesn't foul up. Timing and jetting affect the temperature of the plug.
Plugs are cheap. Don't get hung up on fancy expensive plugs. A regular AC Delco plug works just fine. I use NGK race plug in my car. They're less than $3 each. I have a bunch of sets in different heat ranges and all indexed for specific cylinders making a plug swap take less time. I originally had -7 plugs which is a normal heat range. I now use -9 plugs which is 2 heat ranges colder and they still don't foul up. I may have to pick up some -10's.

Re: what do you think of these plugs
thanks alot for all the replies.
im using delco plugs(i dont know what number of the top of my head). when i bought the motor they had ngks in it. i personally like delcos the best so i went to the parts store and had the cross the ngk numbers to the delcos that i have now.

thanks for the links. i just looked through them real quick. looks like alot of real good info.

the 700r4 is holding up pretty good. i bought the kit from dana at probuilt and built it myself. lately ive i have been racing it alot(more than ive been driving it on the street). im going to see hold it holds up next season but im most likely going to swap it out for a built th350 with a trans brake.
the reason that im asking about my plugs is because ive been at the track with the car every weekend for about 2-3 month and the car isnt running what it should be. it seems to be falling short up top. if i up the jets in the secondaries, i see not change(better or worse). so i have a feeling that its losing fuel pressure in higher rpms. so now that the tracks are closed i can do some work to the car. im running factory fuel lines and a holley mechanical fuel pump. i dont think that thats going to cut it. so over the winter im going to upgrade to an electric fuel pump with a regulator and bigger lines. once im done with that im going to bring it to a place by my house that does dyno tuning and going to tune it with A/F ratio meter.

Re: what do you think of these plugs
Have you considered just purchasing a hand-held wideband? Its not the be all end all by itself, but along with everything else, it provides an additional piece of information that can help shorten the time needed to tune the motor.

The megasquirt guys swear by them, mainly because inovative has been really helpful to the community and the product is awesome.
