Engine misses while driving. LG4 SET UP
Hi, I have a problem wiht my engine.... when I drive it , is missess... the other day it even left me stranded... I have check the carburetor and ignition system, and they are fine. I have check my mechanical fuel pump for pressure and flow rate, and its fine. THis lead me to belive that is has to be the supply pump in the gas thank
I have one of those clear glass filter on the fuel line right before the mechanical fuel pump. At iddle the engine runs fine, but if you look at the glass filter, you will see how it fluctuates.. like it get full and then drains out. This does not happend all the time, but happens...
The LG-4 Set up has the supply pump on the tank, and the mechanical pump at the block. My question is if this supply pump is the same as the other pumps, junst running under lower current/voltage?

It runs under the same voltage, current may be different as that's load related.
Just get a replacement pump for the application. Carter P74050 on www.partsamerica.com, for instance.
Don't forget the pick-up strainer.
