3 wire 02 connector

I am adding a 3 wire o2 sensor to my 87 I have the o2 it's Bosch part # 13077 it is the replacement for the GM part #. I can't find the connector for it I went to the junk yard and came home with a 4 wire plug that was all I could find. I don't want to put the 4 wire plug in if I don't have to so changing the o2 will be easier. I found 2 connectors the accel 74813 and the MSD 8172 can anybody tell me if these will work or does anybody know what cars besides the 91 ZR1 that these connectors can be taken off of?????

Click on the EFI Connection sponsor link at the right side of this site and go to "other pigtails". They sell the 3 wire connector pigtail for $10, and they also sell the 3 wire conversion harness that plugs into the stock 1 wire connector for only $16.

This is the one I used for mine. A Dorman product found in the "HELP!" product line.

Re: 3 wire 02 connector

Where and how are you going to get ignition-source power? I have same parts to install next weekend but am unsure on where to tap into ignition-source power. Thanks, Scooter

Re: 3 wire 02 connector

If the fuel pump has a fuse under the hood then that would be a good spot.
Or you could run a wire out through the fire wall by the brake pedel.

That'd be excellent because it's so close to the O2 sensor but any suggestions on where to connect into on the fuse block or splice into another wire?

Re: 3 wire 02 connector

I used the pink/black ignition wire to the fuel pump relay on the firewall. Used one of the relay bracket screws as a ground. Pretty short length of twisted pair.
