No codes, but running rich
No codes, but running rich
What would cause a 305 TBI to run rich, yet throw no codes?
A search really didn't reveal much, other than the coolant temp sensor. I'll probably replace it, but if it's still running rich, what else could it be? The timing?

And again, what leads you to believe it is running rich? If the O2 sensor is lying to the computer, giving false lean readings, the computer will happily dump more gas, and not set any code......

keep in mind an exhaust leak near the 02 can make the o2 read leaner than actual since it can draw a small amount of fresh air inbetween exhaust pulses. this will tell the pcm lean all the time, and usually never throw a code.
