Transmission: 700r4
Axle/Gears: stock
cam and heads

i am looking into buying new heads and a camshaft

but dont know what the best combo for my car would be

its is a 1991 5.7 l98

so any opinions would help i am looking for the best power for the cheapest

If you intend to keep the TPI, TF 195s and the Comp "502" grind. If you have headers, the "503".

I say if you keep the TPI, the comp cam XFI-280 the power band starts at 2000 but the long runners still would give you good low end torque plus it streetable, for as heads, any nice set of alluminum heads with 2.02 1.60 valves. thre are many to choose from depends on how deep your pockets are.

I AM GETTING READY FOR CAM SELECTION-I AM RUNNING A 350 TWIN TURBO WITH A TPI SIAMEASED RUNNERS AND A BIG MOUTH MANIFOLD MY HEADS ARE 2.02-1.60 AND I AM LOOKING AT A ROLLER SETUP-LOOKING AT A 2500 TO I NEED TO REPLACE SOME PARTS IT JUST BLEW RPM RANGE ANY CAM SUGGESTIONS WILL BE HELPFUL THE BOOST IS GOING TO BE AT A LOW 8 TO 10 POUNDS

speaking of turbo what brand did you buy and how is it even on low boost

I would look into a set of L31 Vortec heads...just about any 96-00 Chevy silverado truck in the junkyard has them or you can buy them for about $600 a set fully assembled. For a cam...listen to the other guys, they know more about that then I do. Best of luck to ya!
