This car is pissing me off!!!!!!!!
Got a new aluminum alternator/power steering bracket at the junk yard since mine has chunks broken off.
Took the old one off today to discover that 3 of the 4 bolts are missing and broken off. 2 in the head and one midway down the block. Only one bolt holding the whole bracket on.
Now I have to figure out how to back these out. Theyre broken off just a hair into the holes

i would just let a shop take care of it. i accidently broke a bolt on the engine block and they had to drill it out.
wasn't too exspensive
but your choice.

I dont have any money for shop rates. I bet the damn thing wouldnt even make it there. I have no alternator, no power steering, an almost drained battery, my trans keep leaking fluid so my tq converter whines, and my tv and kickdown cables arent even connected

i can understand your frustration. my advice is to see if u have any auto buddies that come over on the weekend and help u out. alternators arnt too exspensive along with new batterys. u get a discount with both items if you bring in your old one.
also get the correct bolts you need. get a drill and drill bits. jack up your car.
and get as many bolts as you can to make it drivable.
then get a quote from a shop to see how much they want.
jsut gotta deal with one thing at a time. if you want to get rid of the car it will be much easier if these items are fixed.
worry about the transmission leak till later if its not leaking terribly and just keep checking teh fluid level.
and i dont know why your tv cables are disconected but connect them.
just do some homework and get some buddies to help out. and take care of one thing at a time.
----------
also i'm not sure if drillign is teh best way or best way by urself. i would definately ask a shop just to open up your options and so you dont screw urself even more

try an easy out and plenty of penetrant wd-40 or what ever one you prefer and give it plenty of time to do its job and apply it it few times
Re: This car is pissing me off!!!!!!!!
If I cant get it out, would a helicoil work? Ive already got a 3/8 coarse kit from the stripped thermostat housing and these also happen to be 3/8
The bolts are snapped off flush with the block and head. Could I even use a screw remover?
If I drilled a smaller hole than the bolt, you think I could use this?

In order to use the heli-coil, you still need to get the bolt out.... try the easy out as suggested above, or, pick up some left-hand twist drill bits, smaller than the bolt.... and try drilling them out SLOWLY. Sometimes, the lefty drill bits will get a good bite, and back out the bolt.
